Set-Up for 2026
It is time! I had wanted to get this out earlier so it could give y’all some inspiration. Unfortunately, it took a bit to find the notebook I wanted to use for my bullet journal (bujo) so here we are. I will be sharing my bujo spreads, vision board, 2026 bingo card, laptop page, and, new this year, my Spirit City: Lofi Sessions setup where I do my weekly planning.
I actually really loved the notebook I used last year (lined Leuchtturm1917) and would highly recommend it. But, I recently got a new bag and, while it has plenty of space for my needs, I’d rather use the big pocket to carry my current read. I also kind of wanted a notebook with weeks already laid out because I was getting tired of drawing them in myself. The same brand as above had a weekly pocket sized notebook, but as they are a German company (I believe), it was not in English. So I returned to my old faithful I had used since 2020; Moleskine. I ordered their weekly notebook, but it didn’t have enough blank pages for my other spreads throughout the year so I also got a lined one as well.
Dual wielding bujos this year!
My other tools are the same, pens and markers, a collection of stickers and washi tape from Etsy, a habit tracker stamp, and a double-sided tape roller. Though my husband did get me a new set of 60 Staedtler fineliner pens so I have a bunch of new colors.
In my regular bujo, I always do a cover page, followed by a mini version of my vision board (all images from Pinterest) along with my word for the year. This year I chose discipline, for a number of reasons. I feel like last year I built a good foundation for a lot of things and now I just need to keep it up so I can expand my growth. A priorities list is a necessity so you have the right mindset creating your goals and can return to it if you are feeling lost.
I’m doing resolutions a little differently this year. You might have seen on the internet reel series titled 75 hard, a little over two month challenge many influencers do to get their life on track. Other people have done their own version such as 75 soft or 75 creative edition. I tried building my own and it is a main reason for the foundation I have going into 2026. I want to continue to build on this, so I’ve titled it 365 consistent. Also, I loved doing my bingo card last year. A much more fun way to do resolutions, so I’m doing it again and will hopefully get to check off more things!
Along with my usual daily routine, I added a spot for non-negotiables for my weekend so I’m making the most of my time off. I also have my weekly tasks and my reset which I plan to do on Sundays.
My weekly planner is more simple (though still with a fun cover page), with months where I put events and the like as well as a place to put my quarterly goals and any other notes for each month, like my every-6-month cleaning check list. I’m not sure what my week spreads will end up looking like or containing, but I’m excited to find out.
My laptop page has updated a few times this year, but I now have my card of the month, my daily routine, images from my vision board that I can switch out, reminders of things to reference, and notes on side quests I can work on.
In May, I got the productivity video game, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. While it is cute, fun, and relaxing, I have also found it very helpful. I use the to-do list to track my weekly to-dos and the habit tracker feature to track my 365 consistent habits. I also have the train and kitchen expansions and I will say the latter is honestly probably my favorite location. It gives you the vibes and sounds of cooking soup as it rains, while you’re getting things done in real life. Of all the many little spirit creatures you can discover (I haven’t found them all yet) my favorite buddy is Catsudon!
As always a reminder that society’s version of New Year is in the middle of winter, the time to slow down and rest. So if you aren’t feeling motivated, remember that is natural. Spring and the motivation and momentum it brings will be here before you know it.
Wishing you all a blessed year!
