Anime and Other Media 2025

2025 was really my year for other medias. Even enough to make a blog post, so enjoy my mini reviews!

I didn’t watch as much anime this year. I was both rewatching favorites and watching a few longer series. With the final season of My Hero Academia coming to an end, it is my goal to break my year-long hiatus and finish it. I am also desperately waiting for news of Wind Breaker—Season 3.

**1. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill**

Mukouda is summoned to another world only to be told he has the skill ‘Online Grocery’ and his cooking with modern ingredients attracts many powerful familiars who he goes on little adventures with.

**2. Bleach**

Ichigo has always been able to see ghosts and now he gets dragged into the world of Soul Reapers.

**3. Jujutsu Kaisen**

Itadori eats a curse, becomes a curse, and now has to train to kill curses to put off his own execution.

**4. Wind Breaker**

In season 2—Sakura learns to trust people, makes more friends and allies, and meets Furin’s greatest enemy.

**5. Mr. Villian’s Day Off**

The General of an evil army trying to take over Earth likes to spend his days off looking at pandas and avoiding his co-workers.

**Honorable Mention: Sk8: The Infinity OVA**

Langa, Reki, and Miya get caught in the rain and play a game. Flashback to Joe and Cherry in high school. A glimpse of Adam and Tadashi’s day off. Shadow being Shadow.

Games I Played

**A Date With Death**

A fun visual novel game where you flirt with the Grim Reaper over chatroom. Cute with decent replay-ability.

**Spirit City: Lofi Sessions**

Decorate your rooms, track your productivity, and discover cute little critters. As someone who could never figure out Notion, I find this even better and it has been a great help keeping up with my to-dos.

**Tales of the Shire**

I haven’t got as far in this as I wanted, but I have enjoyed the little I have done. I’m playing on the Switch so the controls are a little strange I feel, but I am still excited to continue.

**LEGO: Lord of the Rings** (not finished)

Playing two player with my husband and it has been a blast. The LEGO games are just good silly fun and easy for even noobs like me.

Podcasts(ish):

**Distractible**

Listened consistently for about a month then forgot about it, so I am very behind. Even if you aren’t into podcasts, you need to listen to the Bob’s Fridge episode. It is the funniest shit I have ever heard.

**Legends of Avantris**

I call this podcast(ish) because these next two I actual watch on YouTube, but you can consume as a podcast. This is my first time listening to a Dungeons & Dragons campaign and I am having a great time. I started with their *Once Upon a Witchlight* campaign but I’m currently going through their *Dimwits of the Dimwood* one which is my favorite, it’s just so unhinged.

**Hard Launch**

Yes, Dan and Phil were two of my first YouTubers. No, I did not ship them, I just assumed they were both gay and a couple but it was none of my business. I am really enjoying this era of them together. Their podcast is honestly hilarious and can be enjoyed by anyone.

BakuDeku Fanfiction

I honestly don’t read a variety of fanfiction, I stick to my comfort-ship, which is now Bakugo Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku from My Hero Academia. These are my favorite fics of theirs I’ve read last year, a mix of fantasy, omegaverse, kink, and a few in-between.
